While the product carries confidence and clarity, the brand’s digital presence didn’t yet reflect that power. As a startup rooted in physical markets, Vaira was ready to scale its impact online — but it needed a bold, intentional presence to match the strength of what it offers.

When we met the team behind Vaira, they had a powerful product and a crystal-clear mission — but struggled with:
A lack of brand identity that truly spoke to brown-skinned women
Generic, copy-paste skincare positioning in a saturated market
Difficulty in communicating the science + soul of their product
A need for clean, empowering visuals that broke away from Eurocentric beauty aesthetics
In short: they had the product, but not the digital presence to match its impact.
My Approach
We knew Vaira wasn’t just another beauty brand — it was a movement. So our strategy focused on making the ritual as powerful as the result.
1. Visual Identity & Product Positioning
Designed a bold, calming black-red-rose color palette
Built a brand tone that felt sacred, strong, and smart — never apologetic
Crafted messaging like “Glow made for melanin” and “Power your skin, not lighten it”
2. Product Photography & Creative Direction
Shot textured, dewy skin on brown models only
Showcased glow in motion with 3D product spins, light bounce, and serum textures
Highlighted real pigmentation patterns and natural beauty
3. Website Mock & Landing Flow
Built a scroll-based landing page with:
Story-driven visuals
Ingredient education blocks
Ritual breakdown: Cleanse → Glow Cream → Affirm
Minimal checkout with intentional UX
4. Community-Focused Strategy
Designed packaging that includes mirror affirmations
Encouraged UGC through hashtags like

Outlined future rollout for brown-skinned creator seeding & community-led campaigns
